Fall may be the time for pumpkin spice and everything nice, but it is also one of the most productive times for jobs in construction. The break from the heat of the summer can make it an attractive time to work outside. At Kilgore Companies, we are hiring for a number of positions throughout Utah and the greater Intermountain West region. Read on to see some of the available autumn jobs in construction.
Track Hoe Operator
Autumn is the perfect time of year to either learn how to operate heavy machinery or put those skills to use. As a track hoe operator, you’ll be responsible for grading and compacting the ground, and you’ll have the perfect vantage point for taking in the changing fall colors.
The qualifications to operate a track hoe or other pieces of heavy machinery are relatively simple. You need your high school diploma or GED, successful completion of heavy equipment training, and your commercial driver’s license. These skills are in high demand and will allow you to perform some very necessary, valuable work at Kilgore Companies.
If you don’t already have the heavy equipment training and commercial driver’s license to operate heavy machinery, you can start gaining on-the-job training and familiarity by working as a groundman. As long as you have basic verbal and calculation skills, as well as a willingness to work and learn, you can start building your career with Kilgore Companies today. Working as a groundman is the perfect way to gain an introduction into jobs in construction this fall.
Q/C Lab Technician
